(1) Fire performance
Due to the fact that mineral cables are all composed of inorganic substances, they themselves do not cause fires, cannot burn or support combustion, and do not produce toxic gases. Even with external flame combustion, the cables can still operate normally. After the fire is cleared, the cable does not need to be replaced. It is a true fireproof cable, providing a foolproof guarantee for the fire line, and has passed the test of International Electrotechnical Commission IEC331.
(2) High carrying capacity
The normal service temperature of Mineral-insulated copper-clad cable can reach 250 ℃. IEC60702 stipulates that the continuous working temperature of Mineral-insulated copper-clad cable is 105 ℃. This is considering the terminal sealing material and safety needs. Even so, its cross-sectional area is much higher than other cables because magnesium oxide powder has a better conductor coefficient than plastic. Therefore, at the same operating temperature, the cross-sectional area is larger. For lines larger than 16mm, one cross-sectional area can be reduced, and for areas that do not allow human contact, two cross-sectional areas can be reduced.
(3) Waterproof, explosion-proof, and corrosion-resistant
Since the cable is sheathed with Low smoke zero halogen high flame retardant material with high corrosion resistance (plastic outer sheath is only required in the case of individual chemical corrosion), the conductor, insulation and sheath are compact and solid. Therefore, it not only has the ability to prevent damage from water, moisture, oil, and some chemical substances, but also can be used in places with explosion hazards and various explosion-proof equipment and equipment connections.
(4) Overload protection
When the circuit is overloaded, plastic cables can cause insulation heating or breakdown due to overcurrent or overvoltage. For Mineral-insulated copper-clad cable, as long as the heating cannot reach the melting point temperature of copper, the cable will not be damaged. Even if the breakdown occurs instantaneously, the high-temperature magnesium oxide at the breakdown point will not form carbides. After the overload is cleared, the performance of the cable will not change and can still be used normally.
(5) High operating temperature
Due to the fact that the melting point temperature of magnesium oxide in the insulation layer is much higher than that of copper, the maximum normal operating temperature of the cable can reach 250 ℃, and it can continue to operate at a melting point temperature close to 1083 ℃ of copper in the short term.
(6) Strong shielding performance
The copper sheath of the cable is the best shielding layer to prevent interference from other cables and external magnetic fields.
(7) Long lifespan
Due to the composition of inorganic materials, cables do not age and have a minimum lifespan of over a hundred years. And this cable can be reassembled and reused with equipment displacement or line modification.
(8) Small outer diameter and light weight
Compared with the same plastic cable, the outer diameter of Mineral-insulated copper-clad cable is reduced by 50% and the weight is reduced by 30%, which can not only reduce the space occupied, but also facilitate installation.
(9) High radiation resistance
Since the cable materials are all inorganic, with effective Neutron capture cross section and high insulation resistance, the electrical and mechanical properties of the cable will not be entangled in any change after undergoing nuclear radiation.
(10) Safety and environmental protection
Due to the fact that the composition materials of the cable are all inorganic and do not contain any organic matter, even if the cable is grilled above 1000 ℃ or placed in a place that is destructive to copper
